Smitted Kitchen Italian Chopped Salad

Smitten kitchen was my first food blog I fell in love with and she also lives in NYC and cooks out of her NYC apartment

Ingredients:

4-5 Romaine Lettuce Leaves (Washed & Chopped)

1/2 of a Tomato (Chopped)

1/2 Can of Garbanzo Beans/Chick Peas

1/2 Can of Hearts of Palm (Chopped)

*Can substitute Pepperoncini’s for Hearts of Palm if you prefer!

1/2 Can of Sliced Olives (Drained)

1/2 an Avocado

4-5 Slices of Hard Salami (Cut up into pieces)

4-5 Slices of Provolone Cheese (Cut up into pieces)

Kosher Salt

Pepper

Lemon Juice In Place of Dressing

Instructions:

Chop Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and start layering on a plate or bowl. Then add in garbanzo beans, hearts of palm or pepperoncini’s, olives to the salad. From there add the salami and provolone cheese. sprinkle salt & pepper on top and lemon juice as the dressing. If you prefer to have dressing I recommend Girard’s champagne VINAIGRETTE or Paul newman’s honey mustard.
