My Story
My name is Alex Hoffman, I live in New York, but a Midwestern at heart. From a young age I was notorious for wearing 3 outfits in one day leaving my mom with constant laundry. I have always had a sense of unique style and love to stand out from the everyday crowd. I always wanted to buy clothes that everyone else didn’t have.
My true passion for merchandising started in high school when I started working for a dress occasion boutique where I was able to help girls find their dream prom, homecoming, & turnabout dress. I loved being able to make someone feel confident and beautiful both inside and out.
I went on to get a Degree in apparel merchandising & business marketing at Indiana University and had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence Italy. Following college I took a internship and then full time offer at Macy’s Corporate Buying Offices. I took a leap of faith and moved back to Chicago for a leap year and then ended back in New York at Macy’s offices as I realized the city and company stole my heart.
Last year I joined Macy’s Style Crew, which is an internal social media affiliate program. It prompted me to share my passion for clothes, recipes that are near and dear to my heart, and travel experiences with my friends & family.
