Caramel Brownies

Ingredients:

1 Package Devil’s Food Cake Mix

1 Stick of Butter (Melted)

1 Cup Undiluted Evaporated Milk

35 Light Caramels Squares (10 oz)

1 Package of Chocolate Chip Morsels (8 oz)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 Degree’s. Combine the Devils food cake mix with melted butter in a large bowl. Mix in 1/2 Cup of Evaporated Milk to form batter. Spread only 1/2 batter evenly in a 9x13 (greased-spray on Pam or spread butter on bottom) Pyrex baking pan. You may need to use your hands to spread over entire pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

While batter is baking combine caramels & remaining 1/2 cup evaporated milk in a small saucepan or pot. Cook over low heat to melt caramels. Stir occasionally until the consistency is smooth & liquid.

Take batter out of oven & sprinkle chocolate chips all over pan. Then pour caramel mixture over chocolate chips. Evenly coat the pan. Then use remaining batter to place teaspoons over caramel layer.

Return to the oven and bake for another 20-25 minutes.
