Shakshuka bowl

Ingredients:

3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil

1 Green Pepper (Seeded & Chopped)

1 Onion (Chopped)

3 Garlic Cloves (Minced)

1 28 oz Can of Whole Plum Tomatoes or Crushed Tomatoes

1 tablespoon of Tomato Paste

1 Can of Garbanzo Beans/Chick Peas (Drained)

3/4 teaspoon Kosher Salt

1/2 teaspoon Ground Pepper

1 teaspoon of Cumin

1 teaspoon of Paprika

1/4 teaspoon Chili Pepper (optional)

6-8 Large Egg’s

4 oz Hummus

Handful of Feta Cheese

1-2 Green Onions

3-4 Chives chopped

2-3 Dill Leaves (Chopped)

Instructions:

Heat oven to 375 degree’s. Use a skillet or deep sauce pan and heat on the skillet or pan on stove on medium heat. Drizzle olive oil in immediately. Wait 1 minute then add in chopped onion & green pepper. Saute onto browned then add in garlic in and cook 1-2 minutes. add in paprika, cumin, & chili POWDER & mix cooking for 1 minute. Next add in canned tomatoes, tomato paste & stir together. add in garbanzo beans then Cook for 10 minutes until everything softens. add in salt & pepper and stir. then make pockets (little holes) in tomato sauce and crack egg and place in pocket/hole. do this for all 6-8 eggs (depending on how many people you are cooking for). sprinkle salt & pepper over skillet or pan. then transfer into oven at 375 degree’s and bake for 8-10 minutes until eggs look over easy or more well done (to your liking).

TAke a bowl and spread hummus in the bottom and around the sides/edges of the bowl. Add in tomato shakshuka & egg into the bowl. top with green onions, chives, and dill and enjoy!

Also can toast bread to serve with this dish to dip in!
